Share your memories for the 70th Anniversary
2017-18 is the school's 70th academic year as a state primary. Ex-pupils, staff, governors and parents are warmly invited to take part in the celebratory projects to mark this milestone.
Were you a pupil during the last 70 years? Did you teach here? Were you a member of staff in any capacity? A parent or grandparent?
You are the people who have made up the rich fabric of the school's history over the past 70 years. Current pupils and staff are keen to hear your stories.
The children are creating a timeline of the school’s history since its beginning in 1947. And a digital timeline (published below) is being populated with memories by alumni. Thank you to all alumni who have contributed so far. Keep the memories coming ...
You can come and see the timeline exhibit at our anniversary festival summer party on 30th June taking place between 2 and 6pm.
The children have enjoyed and learned lots from contributions so far and held a lovely event for local ex-pupils who came and shared their memories in person.
We'd love to hear your stories - you can share you memories using the form below ...

A note about the school's decision to change its name
You may have heard that after consultations with our community the school is set to change its name for September 2018.
Part of our 70th anniversary year has been spent choosing a new name together. After consulting over the brief and resultant shortlist we have chosen the name Cotham Gardens Primary School for September.
Governors are mindful that a name change may not be wholly popular with some alumni for a variety of understandable reasons, but hope you can get behind the democratic, fair collective decision that has been made this year. A school is so much more than its name. It is the people, the experiences, the memories that make it special. And that is what we are marking in our timeline - as well as the milestone at 70 to choose a new name for our time and looking to the future. This does not mean the name will be buried or forgotten. It is forever part of the school's history and heritage as the name it went by for its first 70 years. The reasons for this together with the reasons for changing in 2018 will form part of its history as its journey continues on through the decades ...
